Winky Palacinky was a real cafe.  I’ve never been, but my brother stumbled upon it on one of his trips to Europe.  A couple years later, on a subsequent visit, it was closed.

I think that it’s just the best name ever.  A palacinka is a crepe.  I like crepes.  Winky just rhymes, it doesn’t mean anything.  Winky Palacinky – so cute.

I said that if I have a boat (never will) or a dog (never, ever will) or a bakery (maybe) I’d call it Winky Palacinky.  Now, I don’t want any internation copyright laws to come knocking on my door, so instead I welcome you to my virtual space ‘Winky Cafe’.
I sometimes use recipes.  If I do, it would be at least two recipes that I gel into one.  Most of the time I don’t have any recipe, just something that pops into my head.  Occasionally, I take a gluten-infested recipe and attempt to mod it like punk teenage boys do to their cars.  Thankfully, my results taste better than their’s look!   I’m not great a measuring, I substitute half way through a recipe as a realize I forgot to buy something, I write all over my ‘recipes’ in hopes of remembering what I did differently.  And I always leave the kitchen a total disaster.
